Location. The Melbourne Ardenlea Hotel is located in Shanklin, Isle of Wight, England, overlooking the sand and shingle beach and 100 metres from the wooded Shanklin Chine area. Shanklin train station is one mile from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Overlooking a well kept garden with a neat lawn and clusters of bluebells, the Melbourne Ardenlea Hotel is a three storey Victorian hotel. Amenities include an indoor pool, sauna and spa tub. The hotel provides live entertainment in the lounge most evenings. Motorists will find complimentary parking on site.
The Melbourne Ardenlea's informal, traditional in house restaurant overlooks the gardens and provides classic British dishes including Grilled Pork Escalope and Traditional Cottage Pie. The table d'h?te menu changes daily, and an a La Carte menu offers alternative options. A complimentary full English breakfast is served daily.
The hotel offers a business centre, conference rooms and smaller meeting rooms.
The Melbourne Ardenlea's games room is open during high season and offers a snooker table and table football. The local area offers opportunities for water sports and can be explored on horseback or via the many hiking trails.

Expert Tip. Set amid woodland, with a 105 foot drop to sea level, Shanklin Chine is a haven for wildlife and rare plants, and features a picturesque waterfall. The area is reputed to be the haunt of smugglers and the site of many a shipwreck.
